Born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, Artem Vanieiev is a filmmaker based in Toronto, Ontario with his focus set on camera and electric departments. Over the course of his studies and work in various roles on set for more than four years, Artem developed a strong set of hands-on knowledge with a range of industry standard equipment.

He thrives in roles of Camera Operator, Assistant Camera, Grip, Gaffer, and even Director of Photography. Some of the projects he got to DP such as “My Art Is My Adversary” (2025) and “What We Owe to Ourselves” (2025) received their recognition on respected Canadian festivals such as Toronto International Short Film Festival and Couch Film Festival. Artem is soon to be a graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Production at Humber Polytechnic.
